This week in class i learned about various types of learning apps. Based on
my understanding aboutthe session content is, learning apps can aid children
in their learning. Learning apps make children more energetic and find it
more interesting to learn the particular subjects. Finding an app is not hard but
finding an education app is slightly hard. Few example of education apps are
1. Noisli

Noisli is a tool that generates background noises. For example, thunder rain and fire.
The aim of theapp is to create a relaxation and help to focus more on a task.
This app is usually for those who does creative work such as drawing
writing (Williams, 2017). Noisli does not only generates background music but it also provides a setting that allows the user to change
the background colour according to the surroundings in order the process of
relaxing andcreative working more effective. This app also can be very helpful
to those who ever deadline approaching. It helps a person to calm down and
focus more on the task and ace it. Moreover ,these app allows us to
set timer when we want to end a particular sound to end and change to a new one.

2.Versal

Versal is an app that provides an online lessons that student can learn at home,
while in a coffee shop and even abroad. It is an app that allows student to access lectures and assignment.
In addition ,thisapp allows a person to create and share to others their work.
Moreover, teachers can create additional matte rials of the lesson and
upload on Versal. (Gallagher, 2017). Next , versal not only contains a mixture of all types of gadgets like YouTube videos and SoundCould audio.
Furthermore, java script also supports the creation of 3D images or the existing Sketchup drawings in the app library. This creation allows learners
to view the inside object. For example, a person creators a camera not only
thelearner can rotate the camera but view what is inside the lens.
The learner will feel like as if they are holding a real camera.

3.Periscope

Periscope is an app that streams live video and the video will disappear
within twentyfour hour. This app is integrated with the twitter company
that attracts youngster to use this app. Next, this app is being
used by teachers in creative ways and at the saem time attract students attention. For example, the teacher is streaming a live video o the field trip she brought
a group of student to. This will encourage more students to attend the field trip organised by the teachers.
Moreover ,student can comment and ask questions immediately
if they have any questions. (eSchool News, 2015)
This app is very beneficial to student because most of them own a twitter account.
This account can be used for education purpose too.
4.Flipped classroom

https://teaching.wikit.itu.dk/Flipped+Classroom |
The flipped classroom where the elements of lectures and homework are
practiced in a different way. The student are expected to view short video
of lectures before class. While in class most of the time will be focused
on exercise, projects or discussion. Moreover , students can test their
understanding by answering online quizzes and activities. This will be
followed by an immediate feedback in order for the students to correct
their mistakes. Next, teacher can change the learning environment
by having students work in groups to solve questions.
Flipped classroom can be useful because in an traditional lectures
the student would have to listen to what the teachers are teaching and
the students do nothave time to think or reflect on what they have learned.
By having videos of lecture it will be convenient to students because they can watch rewind and reflect on
what they have learned.
5.Social media
Social networking is not only about Facebook,Twitter and MySpace.
It is the use on an online technology that enable a person to connect and form virtual communities.
Social networking cities allow the users to post comments,
share photos and do video calls.
A researched was done by a group of students and found
out ninetysix of the online access use social media while the half said
they use it for educational purposes. Students also use this app to discuss homework and the same time.
Other than discussing about the learning app we discussed about our multimedia group presentation
After identifying the possible drawbacks we come out with the outline of how we want to organise our group.

In my terms of learning i prefer to use the flipped classroom learning app because we are expected to watch short lecture video before entering class. In class the lecturer will be focusing more on activity, revision and discussion. I find it watching short lecture notes before class is an effective method because i can replay the video and learn in my own pace. Unlike the old traditional method where teachers teach in class where students have to focus on each and every information taught by the teacher. I find it, hard because i do not have the time to analyse the information or to question the lecturer.
As a future learner I hope the lecturer will emphasis the students more on using the flipped class learning app because it would be beneficial when I am in class I have an idea of what I am going to learn and it would be also benefits for group discussion to contribute my opinion later on.
