This week in class we learned about the TIP model and seven secrets of a great speaker.
The usage if technology in teaching and learning has made it easy to gain information.
Learning apps can boost the students performance and productivity. For teachers it is east for them to keep track of weal students
by answering quizzes created online by the teachers (smith, 2016)
Based on my understanding below are the session content.
What does TIP stands for
*Technology
* Integration
* planning
The tip model has three phrases
1) phases 1
n Establishing learners need
-needs analysis
What do my learner need?
My learner need more skill for example, what skill should be taught in order that government officials can be more diplomatic
2) what tool would be more effective?
(eg. To teach powerpoint)
Or algebra --->calculators
-smart boards to make calculation
Another example would be to teach English, electronic
dictionaries and vocabulary apps like vocabulary.com can be used. However , the tools should be effective
3) revision
-revising/analysing mistakes and attempting to revise them.
- what tools would be more effective? Why?
Example:powerpoint ,prezi
You can add a picture of TIP in your attachment but make sure you label it

7.Authentic passion
Summary of the speech
Richard Greene stated that only seven percent people are able to
communicate and touch a person’s heart. Secondly , voice tone variation also has an
impact on people
by the result of our passion, love and enthusiasm.
Next , thirtyeight percent of people mostly look at our body language
and the way and the way we look at a person. Therefore ,the three component words,
voice tone and body language
is important for an effective communication to happen. Moving on, Richard Greene
said that many people presents only data to prove themselves smart but, that is
not make a person a great speaker. What makes a person a great speaker
is a person able to connect themselves with the audience.
Moreover , fourty one percent of people in the world from different
cultures are afraid of public speaking. In addition, Richard Greene stated that the
reason why people are afraid of
public speaking is because they do not know the definition of
public speaking. Furthermore, Richard Greene shared his experience
meeting princess Diana , said he said to her that she is capable
of giving a greater speech and touch peoples heart. Secret number six is that we have
five different type of senses such as
seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting and touching that influence the four
different communication language that is visual, auditory auditory digital and kinetics.
Finally the last secret is about authentic passion .
Just with having this will make us become a great speaker.
In this session i learned that technology is essential for students learning.
Even me as an individual use technology to search for information or
the seven secret of a great speaker.
I learned that we should share information from our heart instead
of presenting data. I am a person that who is afraid of public speaking. If I am put in the situation to talk in the crowd,
I would prefer to present data because i feel that i am correct. But after watching the video,
i have to change my perception to become a passionate speaker rather than a speaker who just presents data.
As a future learner I hope that the teachers apply technology more
in the learning process because it would be easier for teachers to guide
their students. Moreover , hope that teachers emphasis more on presentation
so that students will feel more confident
when they have to talk in huge crowd.
